WHAT SEASON ARE YOU EXPERIENCING?

“From the God of your father who helps you, And by the Almighty who blesses you with blessings of heaven above . . . “ (Genesis 49:25a)

What season are you experiencing today? All of us face various seasons of our lives. Regarding the seasons, God’s Word says, “there is a time for every activity under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die. . . a time to plant and a time to harvest. . . a time to build and a time to demolish. . .” (Ecclesiastes3:1-8) In this scripture, we learn our God is a God of mercy. He has appointed times of blessing. Just imagine, only one voice can speak to the clouds, and they respond by bringing forth rain! Only the Great Creator God can accomplish such a feat! (Ezekiel 34:26)

“Grace is a gift of God.” (Ephesians 2:8) Man is desperately in need of it, but helpless in creating it. Similarly, the earth needs rain showers. Without them who will break up the hard lumps of clay. We sow the seeds, but what good would it do without the rain showers? So, it becomes very clear that the Lord’s blessing is an absolute essential commodity for us to conduct the business of life. When the blessings of the Lord come, they do not come in dribs and drabs. The Lord pours out showers of His blessings lavishly on His people. (Malachi 3:10) So, you and I can be the recipients of the plentiful showers of God’s grace. They help us to live our life victoriously and prepare for eternity in the presence of God.

We read of Joseph and the grace of God that carried him through many a trial and false accusation in his lifetime. Then in due course, God exonerated him before his family, his enemies, and the nation. He made it through because of the showers of God’s grace poured out on him. There is nothing we can do without the power of God working in us. (Gen. 49:25a) Today, what season are you experiencing? Are you focused on matters of eternal value or temporary value? Have the enemy darts painfully grieved you? The strength that God gives to His “Josephs” keeps them strong and steady during the onslaught. At the appointed season, when the “Mighty One of Jacob” will grant you victory, then you too can glorify God.
