His Promises are For You

Whenever you want to make changes in your life, you may be painfully aware of your own unfaithfulness and failures of the past. The Lord is not asking for your promises to try harder. He simply asks for your loving devotion. If you sincerely love Him deeply, your service for Him will be of the quality He desires. And the promise of His riches will indeed be your inheritance.

“Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon all who fear Him, upon all who hope
in His mercy, to deliver their soul from destruction, and to keep them
alive amidst devastation. Our soul waits for the Lord:
He is our helper and our shield. (Psalm 33:18 -22)

a) HIS EYE IS UPON YOU at all times.
That means you are on His mind, and He sees you in all your ways – needs, problems, good times and bad too. He has nothing but mercy for you, just as a loving father has for his child. So, you can trust Him and not faint as the storms rage. (33:18)

b) HE WILL DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO DELIVER YOU.
Whether destruction threatens, or in the face of extreme need and spiritual dryness if you continue to love Him, you will experience His life nourishing you. (33:19)

c) GOD HAS PROMISED TO BE YOUR SHIELD AND HELPER.
As you grow in faith, you will wait for Him patiently to answer your prayers. Even when there seems to be no evidence of answers for twenty years, faith waits for His way in His time. (33:20)

d) GOD PROMISES YOU WILL REJOICE.
You will taste and see the goodness of the Lord when your hope is in the Lord alone. Our God is reliable, and His word declares His desire to guide your steps with His eye.(33:21-22; 34:6-8)

Today, if your life seems ordinary compared to people who are famous for changing the world, then remember you have the potential for something extraordinary within you. If you tap into the power of God’s promises to make a positive difference, you will see your ordinary life be transformed into that extraordinary life that God has planned for you.

I pray that what the Holy Spirit of God has spoken into my heart from the Psalms would also bless and encourage you. (Read Psalms 32, 33, 34)
