WHAT is YOUR hair COLOR?

“I am He who will sustain you.” (Isaiah 46:4)

When Linnea and Kevin went out to dinner that night, little did they know how the evening was going   to end. The meal was delicious, and the ambiance was delightful. Then it happened – it was totally unexpected! Linnea slipped and took a tumble. At the Emergency Room of the nearby hospital, it was discovered that she cracked her knee cap. Incidentally, she had just come through an intricate surgical procedure on her eyes, and Linnea had just received good news of a successful surgery. Now, for the following several weeks she was encased in a cast from hip to ankle. Although these circumstances seemed overwhelming, God took care of them. God provided support and comfort.

As in Linnea’s experience, we don’t always escape painful encounters. But let us hearken unto God     and receive comfort from these words: “. . . all you remnant . . . which are borne by Me from the belly, which are carried from the womb: and even to your old age I am He; and even to hoar hairs will  I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.” (Isaiah 46: 3 – 4 NKJV) Here, while the children of Israel were in captivity under the Babylonians, they were reminded of the reliability of God’s faithfulness by the prophet Isaiah.

Not just in the days of old, but even during our life span – we learn that whether we are young or when our hair color has turned gray God promises to sustain us. (Isaiah 46:4) God meets us at the point of our need, regardless of the color of our hair!                                                                                                                    “Remember. . . I have formed thee; thou art my servant: thou shalt not be forgotten of me.” (Isaiah 44:21) God keeps His promises. So, invite Him to walk with you and sustain you the entire duration of your days.
